The SEPF would like to thank Lindsay Ahern and Martin Campbell for their hard work and efforts in running the Region 1 Tour. Also, a special thanks to Lindsay for his time and incredible effort that went into organising the very successful Scottish Open last month.
Due to other commitments both have informed us that they wish to stand down from running/organising SEPF events.
Therefore, as of Tour Event 3, John Mulhern and Derek Ahern have kindly offered their services in the running of the remaining tours. Both John and Derek have ran tours in the past so we have complete confidence that your events in Region 1 will continue to run as smoothly as they have been.
It was also decided at the recent SEPF AGM to form a Region 1 committee to administer all aspects of pool in the Region. his is inline with the other three regions who already have established committees. The Region 1 Committee needs to be formed as soon as possible and we have already asked individuals within the region for their assistance. Once these individuals have
responded with their intentions we will post on here the set up of the committee.
Having a regional committee in place ensures that if one or two people cannot continue to run events, due to ill health or more important commitments, the tour can continue to run smoothly.
The format of the committee will be as follows
Chairman
Secretary
Treasurer
Players Rep for each individual affiliated league
Section Leaders/Reps for each individual section
(Juniors/U21/Men/Ladies/O40/50's)
Tournament Director/Directors
Hopefully this clears a few things up and more information will follow over the next week.
